American White Oak Flooring Rustic timber has a distinct medium-high density, good strength and is relatively rot resistant. Our flooring is long edge planed tongue and groove (PTG Flooring) and comes with no treatment or stain applied.
American White Oak is generally produced from a smaller log and is less durable than the European variety. As a result it is very popular for interior flooring, joinery, furniture and kitchens.

Planed tongue and groove wood flooring (PTG) is a type of flooring that uses the most common joining method; each board in tongue and groove flooring has a protruding tongue on one side and an indented groove on the other, so it fits easily with the board next to it.
The tongue and groove format is the most cost effective fitting method, a good deal cheaper than the newer and more sophisticated “click” system, which is one of the main reasons that it is more commonly used. Because it is the most common fitting system, there are also far more types of wood available with tongue and groove.
What Is Micro Bevelled PTG Flooring?
A micro-bevel is a small edge (normally around 1mm) which is cut at 45 degrees along the length of the board. Once two boards are pushed together this creates a small V groove.
